Taeler's Birthday!!!

My sweet little Taeler got to spend her 7th birthday travelling home from California. We got home and had all the family over for cake and icecream. She wanted a bigger bike to ride to school, "Cooking Mama" and clothes. We celebrated her birthday with friends later. Out of all my kids Taeler has gotten the shaft on her Birthdays its either been storming so we cancel our original plans, I am having a baby, or we are travelling from somewhere. She has, out of all my kids had the coolest birthdays. Her first Birthday we had while we were in Hawaii. And her 5th Birthday, Nate had a client in town that had a plane so He and Jena took her on an airplane ride all over St. George for her birthday. She absolutely loved it and Madi was very jealous!

Taeler is such a sweet and fun girl, and has got a lot of quick wit, just like her dad. Between the two of them they keep us laughing. I've said before she is such a wonderful helper never complains for one second when i ask her to do something for me, she just says "ok" and does it, especially if it has to do with Landri. I am so grateful to have such a special little girl.

While we were in California without the guys Monica and I took all the kids to the San Diego Zoo. Our favorite part was watching the Orangutans. Luke was standing up against the window and Clyde (the Big fellow) bounced up and kissed the window in front of Luke. It scared him to death but the kids all thought it was great!

Spring Break!!!

Steve is the eBay king! For Spring Break this year the kids wanted to go somewhere really great! We have a year pass to Disney Land so we thought we better head there to get some good use out of it. So Steve found this great deal on a condo in Escondido at the Lawrence Whelk Resort. It came with every amenity possible you would want for your kids. I would recommend this place to anyone! Steve didn't have the first of the week off and we decided to go with Jeff and Mo and there kids; and Jeff didn't have the first couple days off either. So Monica and I get this sweet idea that we are going to head down there with the kids, by ourselves and the guys would come out later. Me, driving in California!?!... And we did.... we piled all 25 of our kids in my vehicle ( which I wish we had a picture of cause it really was quite a sight) and we left. Poor Steve and Jeff watched us Sunday morning drive away and seriously thought it was the last time they would ever see their wife and children ever again. Thank goodness for Tom Tom... we made it there just fine. (with a few detours..) I think we actually did better than the guys coming out.

My kids loved the rock water slide, the splash pad and playground that was all right there together. Monica and I loved sitting by the pool, people watching of course (That was great!) and enjoying the fact that we didn't have to move and we could see our kids at all times and we could just relax and have fun!!

The Never Ending Bake Sales.....

Madi and Lainee for the last 3 years have been the best of friends. They have been in each others school class every year since 2nd grade. Every second they get or actually whenever I allow it, they are asking and having some sort of sale outside our house or down on the corner. They sale lemonade, pop, snowcones (which are the biggest hit!) and anykind of cookie, brownie or rice krispie treat they can find or make. They are so sweet and include Tae and Luke. Actually they make them do all the running around for them but they do pay them. ( a few coins?!... ) I am amazed at how much they have made some of the time. They have lots of fun and we love having Lainee around.

I lied... Steve wasn't able to take work off for Landri's Birthday. That is my favorite picture! She was so cute eating her cake. She had what she wanted and then started sharing with everyone. I can't believe my baby is 1!!! Steve kept saying we were done at three but I always wanted four. So glad I convinced him cause I can't imagine life without our little Landri Lou. She has been so fun and has stayed so little in fact she still isn't walking. Madi and Taeler didn't walk until they were 14 and 15 months. Landri will probably be 16 or 17 months. That's ok with me though I want her to stay little as long as possible so I can just enjoy her. She is so fun right now. She loves to give kisses; play with all the kids; and dance ( which looks like she is doing squats). She says mom and dad and thank you and cookie and cracker and Ma Ma for Madi and tries to say just about anything you try to get her to. It makes me sad that I will never have another baby... Just not so sad enough to have another one. She is perfect to end on. The day was great!, having everyone over for cake and ice cream and lots of fun!

My Sweet Hubby's Birthday!!!

k so back to where I left off six months ago. February 16th was my sweet hubby's 33rd birthday! I remember when my parents were this age and I really thought they were old! Don't know what I was thinking.... Time just flies by though. I can't believe we are in our thirties, and have four kids; one which is going into 5th grade, crazy.... Anyhow not the funnest birthday here, of course he doesn't ask for it off, he spent the whole night working so he could take off time for Landri's birthday, Tae's birthday and mine all which are in March. What a sweet man... we did get to spend the day with him though so went went to lunch and did a little shopping and then spent the night calling him and taking him lots of birthday stuff into work, and he was able to swing out to my parents for a few minutes for all of us to celebrate with him. I would have to say I am the luckiest wife in the world.... I am so grateful for the wonderful man my husband is. He works so hard for us and does whatever he can to make us all happy. Wasn't at the top of your list for birthdays... But there are lots more to come... I love you Babe!

This is serious.... Good thing I don't blog for a living. I knew I would be like this, but I didn't think I would be this bad. I haven't even made a post in 4 months. My life has been so crazy I haven't had any time. Sad that that isn't an excuse.. its the honest truth. Here are some highlights of the pasts months, where I have remembered the camera. K so you really can't even tell that she just got her ears pierced cause her cute chubby cheeks are in the way. But that is what we are looking at here. I don't know why I waited so long to do this. Madi was 5 months when we did hers and Tae was 9 months. We waited till Landri was almost 11 months. We had them do both ears at he same time and she cried for about .5 seconds then had the succer and was good to go.

Superbowl Sunday!!!

We went over to Morby's for the Superbowl. The guys spent half of the game trying to light the barbeque, bound and determined to get that thing working. Amy and I should have gone out there, I am sure we would've got it going.... There was never success but the food was great! We all had such a fun time, watching Amy get a stomach ulcer, Yale scaring Nash as he yelled at the tv and the girls covering their eyes and pacing the floors getting worked up wondering if their Steelers would actually pull it off. We were cheering for the Cardinals but really didn't care who won. Definately was a great game to watch!, and great friends to watch it with. Thanks Morby's for having us over. Our kids love us getting together and can't wait till we do it again.

Vegetables!

Landri is 10 months, and by far is my pickiest eater! I cannot for the life of me get her to like or even eat vegetables. With the way they taste, I really dont blame her. She really doesnt like anything except baby cereal and fruit. I decided to try making my own so it didn't taste like baby food. This was my end result! I even tried giving her what was on my plate and she is either choking on it or spitting it out. Although... the other day I let her try my beef enchiladas and she loved them!

Doing whatever he can to get her to give him kisses. Landri has been such a fun and mellow baby. We all love doing whatever we can to get her to laugh or give us kisses. She loves her dad so much! Most of the time she would rather go to Steve than me; and gets so excited to see him whenever he walks through the door. We are so grateful to have her. She gave us quite a scare a bit ago, we spent a Saturday in the ER thinking she had swallowed a penny, or a barbie shoe or something. I was cleaning out Tae's closet and had Landri sitting next to me on the floor. I had picked up all the little stuff around me, but Luke kept pulling things out of a little craft drawer that was sitting there. All the sudden she starts choking, and Luke is saying "she swallowed a penny mom"! I picked her up and flipped her over and hit her on the back, and that didn't work, did it again, still didnt' work. She couldn't breathe and kept choking, (all my kids have choked on something but this was lasting a long time, and with the others, I've always been able to get them to stop) I kept hitting her on the back and holding her tilted down but it was not working. I finally swooped my finger in through her throat cause I didn't know what else to do and I started running down our stairs. My other kids are freaking out crying, asking if they should call 911 I didn't know what to do. I seriously thought my baby was going to die right their in my arms. About half way down the stairs she starting crying and breathing again. She cried for a few minutes and then acted fine, but we took her in to see if thet could see anything. Some doctors were telling us if she does have a penny in her and its turned wrong it could cause problems. They did an x-ray and couldn't see anything. Don't know what she was choking on, and I guess I never will. And I dont think I have ever been so scared in my life as I was in those few moments. I would die if anything happened to any of my family. They are everything to me. Landri has been so special to all of us and we are so thankful for her. She definately completes our family.

The Fashion Show!?!

Madi and Lainee decide to have a little fashion show while Taeler is at Ellas's for a late night. My poor little Lukey.... growing up in a house of girls. Of course he wants to be a part of the show! Madi and Lainee do his hair and he dresses himself , looks great! The other day he asked if next time could he do the makeup?!.. At least he loves baseball, basketball, football, trucks, fourwheelers and playing in the mud.

Christmas Morning!

All Luke talked about getting for Christmas was a blue guitar. He can play a mean air guitar, one that gets so out of hand he about gets knocked out by the wall or whatever is close by. Finally he gets his long awaited guitar. Too bad Santa didn't give him one that had reinforced strings. He got a little out of hand and that was the end of the blue guitar. Lasted real long.

Landri's first Christmas. Of course she just loved playing with all the boxes and wrapping paper, oh!, and the candy canes.

Landri 9 months

My baby is nine months here. She is getting so big, so fast. It makes me so sad.... She is just learning to stand up against things. Still is not crawling. Kind of attempting but thats ok. She is my last, and can stay that way for as long as she wants. Keep life a little less hectic.

Wherever Landri is, there is my little Tae, right beside her. If she is not holding her, she is playing with her trying to make her laugh or singing to her. She has been our little mother since the day Landri was born. She is always such a big help with her and actually with everything. Whenever I ask Tae for help, she is right there to do it especially if it has anything to do with Landri. I am so thankful for her and all that she does for me everyday. She is wonderful!

Its Snowing!!!

It snowed, in ST. GEORGE!!!, and stuck!!! My kids thought this was the greatest thing in the world. I love it when it snows here. I just love the snow, but would honestly hate to live somewhere where it snowed all the time. I would be dead if I did cause I can't drive in it. How fun it is to once in a while have it snow; but in all my life, I don't ever remember it snowing this much, at one time, here in St. George. Surpised my girls didn't think to make snow cones and sell them on the corner. (They would honestly try to do something like that).

There we are. Our entire family, including our dog Maddux that we haven't had for 3 years....

Newby's Cabin

So I havent made a post in a very long time. These are pictures from over UEA. We spent the weekend with the Newby's up at their cabin. Every year for the last three years we have gone up to their cabin with them. We always have so much fun... Virtually no sleep, lots of food and games, and of course the infestation of the box elder bugs. This trip just wouldn't be the same without the bugs; oh and at least one of my kids getting sick and throwing up. This year it was Luke, last year it was Madi. Kinda doesn't sound fun... but it actually really was!

The kids rode four wheelers when we could get them to work, and then with the help of Steve built quite the little fort. Reggie and Taeler spent all of their days until dark outside collecting nuts, making guns, fixing food and inventing their their own outdoor offices. They had so much fun entertaining themselves making up all kinds of adventures. Jordan and Madi played games inside, went on scavenger hunts and shot pellet guns. Luke and Elsie just tagged along with whomever they could and pretended to ride all the fourwheelers.

What would a weekend at the cabin be without S'mores.......

Jordan came out of his shell and had us all laughing hysterically!!....... All in all it was great times. We are so thankful for great friends, that are so much fun.

Morbys Cabin

This weekend we went up to Pine Valley with the Morby's. We haven't been up here together since Drew was a baby and I was pregnant with Tae. We fed the horses, donkeys... whatever they were... rode fourwheelers, roasted marshmellows and laughed about old times while it rained. My kids love it when we do things with these guys because they each have a friend exactly their age. They all get along so well and have so much fun together. We really have known these guys for a long time, and cherish their friendship.

These two could get into some serious mischief.....

Luke's Birthday!!!

Luke is such a special little boy... I dont know how I got so lucky to have him. He is a very busy little boy and definatley has his moments but he is kind to everyone. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't say "Mommy.... I love you...." I don't know what I would do without him he keeps my days full of fun. He is always making us laugh with something he has to say about his imaginary friends (Moki, Gigi, Aaron and Chuck, oh and Grandma GoGo??!!...) I am so greatful to have been blessed with such a sweet little boy! Happy Birthday Buddy!!!

Lukes 3rd birthday was September 24th. We had some of our family that was here in town come over for cake and icecream on the 23rd, cause all the guys were going on the hunt the next day. Why they go every year is beyond me, they never come home with a deer. ( which I am very glad for.) Do deer even exist? They all think they are going to get a trophy winner and they are always empty handed at the end, but, full of some very entertaining stories.... Anyhow so we ( with the men of our family) celebrated Luke's birthday Tuesday night... had a little pinata for the little kids not much, but Luke thought it was great!!!

Grandma takes the kids on there birthday to lunch and shopping for whatever gift they want. Luke picked out Better Batter Baseball and then went to McDonalds He absolutely loved it! My mom is so wonderful. My kids think she is the greatest thing that exists and it makes their day so special to go by themselves with her and have fun.

That night, seein' as the guys were all still gone, us girls took Luke to dinner.

Then to finish off the night we went to visit one of Luke's favorites... his Great Grandpa Bentley. Luke loves Grandpa and keeps him going the whole time he is with him whether they are swimming together playing catch or he is trying to shove food down his throat. Luke just loves to hang out with him and grandpa keeps up with him. We love you grandpa!

Landri 6 Months

I can't believe my baby is already six months. She is just getting too big too fast! She is sitting up now and even saying da da. She is our last and I just want her to stay little. She is so much fun, and is such a great baby. Her dad is her most favorite. She loves it when he gets home and plays with her. We are so greatful we have her.

Girls Night!!!

A Much needed night away with wonderful friends. Up till 3:00 or 4:00 I can't remember, we got caught up on the latest from everyone. It's crazy how time has just flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were all back in high school and now we are all married and have kids, lots of kids... So glad Mic was here. It was so good to see her. We missed those that weren't there but had a blast with those that were. Thanks Becky for letting us use your cabin. Next time we just need to stay longer!!!

The Water Helmet!!!

So we were watching the Olympics over the last few weeks and Luke thinks Michael Phelps is the greatest. Wants to swim so fast just like him. After one of his races Luke says "Dad for my birthday I want a water helmet". "Huh?" "One of those water helmets, a shark one to go wif my shark goggles, so I can swim weal fast". Steve and I were dying.... So all he's been asking for his birthday was a shark water helmet. where are we supposed to find that. Leave it to Wade & Janell, they found one in a jif and had to bring it over the day they got it (could'nt wait till his birthday...), along with spiderman socks and spiderman tatoos. He thinks its the greatest thing and carries it everywhere. They have him convinced he gets to wear it everywhere, Target, Walmart, Church..... we'll see about that...thanks you two.....

School Starts!!!

I can't believe my kids are already back in school. Madi is in forth grade ( crazy...) Tae is in first so they are both gone all day. I just have two at home most of the time, so yes my house is alot more quiet. But I miss them being home. When school is in everything starts and I feel like we are just running everywhere. Piano, dance etc... I don't think we will do soccer this year or gymnastics. Both girls are going to start back into dance the first of September, and they have continued piano with grandma without a break because they love it and they love spending time with just her. What a wonderful grandma she is. She takes them and does so much with them. I don' t know how many sleepovers they have begged her to let them have over this summer, but they had so much fun each time, and she would take them and do a special day with them. Now that school is back in grandma gets a little break. Thank you for all you do mom, for all of us especially my kids. You are the best!!! Anyhow back to school... we are on a waiting list for Miss Julie for Luke. He wants to be in school so bad. Over the summer, right after we had Landri, Luke decided he was a "bery, bery big boy" and basically potty trained himself. About a month or so ago, he trained through the night. It was the greatest cause we really didn't have to anything, he did it all himself. Taeler is trying to adjust to such long days and Madi thinks it's all just wonderful because she can play with Lainee everyday. I think Luke really misses Tae (his sidekick) and is just bored out of his mind... It is all nice though. It is good to be back on a schedule with everyone.

Newport Beach

We went to Newport Beach and to Disneyland with our good friends the Ashton's. We had a blast on this trip. It was the first time in a long time where we weren't ready to come home. The kids loved the beach and had a blast looking for as many seashells as they could find.

The only thing Luke cared about during our whole trip was seeing Mickey Mouse. Here we are on Hollywood Boulevard, haven't even got to Disneyland yet, and we found Mickey. He was so excited he didn't even realize he wasn't alive.

Finally we got to Mickey's House. He was in heaven... He thought it was the greatest place in the world.

Barbeques, swimming, scooter rides, golfing, the Alpine slides and shopping in Park City. We all had so much fun up at Ashton's cabin. What wonderful friends they are, we are very fortunate to have them.

Madi was a little nervous to go down by herself. But when we got to the end she thought it was one of the funnest things she'd ever done. Tae thought we might fly off the slide and die, and Luke loved every minute of it. They were all ready to go again. Little Landri Lou slept through all of it. Kim watched her and Charly so we all could go. Thanks Kim...
